As mentioned on my homepage, I hold a Teaching English as a Foreign Language certificate and also a Bachelor's degree in Politics from the University of London.

Though I can help with all areas of learning English, my specialisms include speaking and grammar support. Students learn with me in a variety of ways, through free conversation, article reading & discussion, set lesson plans with audio and video aids to help with listening skills, as well as writing practice if desired.

For UK school students, I focus mainly on GCSE English and this will be through revision and study of texts, writing exercises and exam paper practice. When doing writing exercises or exam practice, I tend to do the work myself too e.g. answer the questions to help demonstrate good structure and fluent writing style; to make models for my students.

I am patient and friendly as a teacher and offer thorough feedback.

My educational background is British and I have a strong interest in classic subjects like History. I can also speak some French and am influenced by my Christian faith in all that I do.
